With a six-person hot tub and secluded garden, Farriers Cottage is a beautifully luxurious family property.

The five-star gold rated cottage is surrounded by rolling hills at Duckhaven Stud, the perfect setting for a group or family holiday in North Devon. Designed to take advantage of the idyllic sunset views, the cottage has an open-plan design. Farriers Cottage has three large double or twin bedrooms, adorned with Egyptian cotton bedding for extra comfort. The master bedroom can accommodate an extra child's bed if needed.

The entire property was built around sharing quality time with family or friends. In the lounge area, the comfy leather sofas are perfect for spending a bit of down-time on your holiday. On lazy evenings or rainy days, snuggle up and watch a film on the 60-inch TV. Whatever the weather, Farriers Cottage has got you covered. In the winter, there's nothing more relaxing than watching the flames flicker in the authentic wood-burning stove. For added comfort, switch on the under-floor heating. In the summer, Farriers Cottage is more than prepared for fun in the sun.

Step outside into the private enclosed garden to fire up the barbecue and chill out in the sunshine. With space for six guests in the hot tub, everyone can enjoy the luxury of Farriers Cottage. Duckhaven Stud is situated just five minutes from the South West Coast Path. Here you can take a 20-minute stroll to the golden sands of Westward Ho!. If you just can't wait to get to the beach, it's only a three-minute drive away. Don't forget to bring your swimming costumes, body boards, buckets and spades! If there are any budding surfers in the group, the local surf school offers classes as well as board and wetsuit hire.

For an evening meal, choose from Westward Ho!'s exciting range of restaurants. With Italian, Moroccan, Thai and classic British cuisine on offer, you'll be spoiled for choice. If you'd rather head back to the comfort of Farriers Cottage for dinner, the village has plenty of shops stocking delicious fresh produce. If you don't feel like cooking, don't worry. We have an exclusive private dining service. Our executive chef and his team can visit the cottage to cook a delicious menu, just for you.

From the moment you arrive, we want you to feel totally relaxed, so enjoy a complimentary Devonshire cream tea. Don't forget, with the adjoining paddock, your beloved horse is more than welcome to join in the fun at Duckhaven Stud. There's off-road private parking for three cars and bike rack, so you won't be stuck for space. The property has wheelchair access and has a wet room. Introduction
A single storey cottage located on a stud farm in Westward Ho!, with a floor space of 200 square meters with enclosed outside patio & garden areas. Open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area with 3 x double bedrooms all with en suites (including one wet room).

Pre-Arrival
Cottage is located on a stud farm with a single track leading to front door
Space for unloading and loading is situated close to the front door. Parking for 3 vehicles is directly in front of the cottage
Guests are able to preorder shopping but must be present to accept delivery
Information is given to all guests prior to arrival on local suppliers
Cottage is 100 meters from Bideford Bus route no 16 which operates hourly, with connection to national bus and rail links
Cottage is easily accessible for taxis
Cottage is 12 miles from nearest train station at Barnstaple
Owners will assist with carrying luggage on arrival and departure, if required

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking
Key collection is from the reception building during offices hours (Mon-Fri 9-5:30pm) For arrivals outside of office hours please call the office on 01237 238967 or 24-hour guest phone 07807 096997 to make suitable arrangements. For guests without phone please knock on door at main farm house “Duckhaven Stud” upon arrival.

Farriers Cottage was by far the best cottage we have holidayed at in North Devon! It is perfectly finished and was absolutely perfect for our family of five, with the amazing hot tub being such a luxury for entire family!
