The open plan bedroom features a Parisian super king-size bed, which leads you on to a private balcony overlooking the peaceful countryside at Duckhaven Stud. Relax in the two-person hot tub, perfectly positioned for sunsets and views of the ocean. This exquisite bedroom has an ornate roll top bath, walk in shower and private WC.

The spacious open plan ground floor has a stylish, kitchen and open plan lounge , when night falls, explore North Devon's dark skies through the telescope.

When you wake up to the sound of birdsong and the whinny of our beloved horses, you'll realise just how special this place is. Part of the cottage's charm is collecting eggs straight from the hen coop and sipping a coffee overlooking the paddocks. Kala's Cottage is all the more special because it's named after one of our favourite race horses, Kala Fair.

On a sunny day, there's no finer place to enjoy the view than from the cottage's private garden. The beautifully bright living area opens out to the garden, where you can relax on sun loungers and tuck into a delicious al fresco lunch.

Kala's Cottage is just a five-minute walk from the South West Coast Path to Westward Ho!, where you can feel the sand between your toes. Unwind in the roll-top bath before wrapping up in a fluffy bathrobe with a chilled glass of wine. If you don't feel like cooking, we can arrange for a private dining experience where our chef will cook a delectable meal just for you in the comfort of your cottage.

1500 square feet over 2 storey’s with outside garden area on ground floor and balcony area on 1st floor with romantic hot tub.
Large open plan bedroom with roll top bath.
Separate bathroom with walk in shower.
Personal 24hr concierge service

 

Pre-Arrival

•      Cottage is located on a stud farm with a single track leading to front door

•      Space for private parking is situated outside the front door

•      Guests are able to preorder shopping but must be present to accept delivery

•      Information is given to all guests prior to arrival on local suppliers

•      Cottage is 50 meters from Bideford Bus route no 16 which operates hourly

•      Cottage is easily accessible for taxi

•      Cottage is 12 miles from nearest train station Barnstaple

•      Owners will assist with carrying luggage on arrival and departure

 

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

•     Key collection is from the reception building during offices hours (Mon-Fri 9-5:30pm) For arrivals outside of office hours please call the office on 01237 238967 or 24-hour guest phone 07807 096997 to make suitable arrangements. For guests without phone please knock on door at main farm house “Duckhaven Stud” upon arrival.
