Check out these fantastic reasons to book your group holiday with Westward Living.
We know that you love your friends and family, which is why you want to go on holiday with them. However, sometimes, group gatherings can get a little bit too much. After all, sometimes you want to enjoy a cup of tea without having to offer one to 15 other people, or you may just need a little downtime. Our accommodation offers the perfect solution; you can spend time with the group but retreat to your cottage for some privacy.
At Westward Living, we are all about enjoying family time together and so all of our cottages have generous living areas where groups can cook, dine and drink together. Gallopsand Furlongin particular have very generously proportioned dining areas.
All of our cottages are 4 and 5-star, which means that they are fully equipped. Our kitchens feature coffee makers or cafetières, as well as enough pots, pans, crockery and cutlery for the number of beds. If a group is cooking together, they are more than welcome to mix and match, as long as everything ends up in the right cottage at the end of the stay!
Our facilities include communal barbecue areas, outdoor and indoor play areas, plunge pool and The Old Barn, with seating for up to 45 people, which can be used by guests upon arrangement.
Often, group holidays fail before they have even started because everybody has different requirements and it is impossible to find something that meets all of them. Each of our holiday cottages is unique, and we pride ourselves in the fact that everyone can find their happy place with us. Whether you are looking for somewhere that accommodates pets, you require full wheelchair access, or you are craving a bit of luxury, Westward Living caters to a range of tastes, needs and budgets. We even have space for your horse!
Just like Goldilocks, groups often have trouble finding accommodation that is just right; just as you find the perfect place, you realise that it is either too big or too small. Our cottages sleeping 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8, with some twins converting to king-sized doubles, so you can find the perfect combination of cottages to suit the group’s needs. Whether you need space for teens and tweens to hang out, your group includes one dog lover and one who’s not-so keen, you have a couple alone or with a small baby who would like some privacy, or you need full access and disabled bathrooms, you can find the perfect combination of cottages to be perfect for all members of the group.
With plenty of outdoor space, direct access to the North Devon Coastal footpath, and 2 miles of glorious beach on your doorstep, there is plenty of outdoor space for your group to blow off steam.
North Devon is loved by tourists and locals alike, and there are plenty of nearby attractions guaranteed to suit all members of the groups. From local toddler groups to Wakeboarding, world-class golf to award-winning days out, all members of your group will find something they love doing on their stay at Westward Living. The convenience of our location means that different members of the group can spend the day as they please, coming together in the evening to reflect on their day and relax as a group.

Wow Kala’s cottage is amazing, peace and tranquility with amazing views. The cottage it’s self is beautiful, a sense of that home from home feeling
We got married here last year and returned this summer for our first anniversary. I can not justify in words how wonderful this place is.
We loved our stay, the cottage has stylish decor and furnishings and its right on the South West Coastal footpath with wonderful views, great for early morning and late evening walks to see the sunrise and sunset.
A totally relaxing and romantic stay, we loved the hot tub and views. It was so peaceful and perfect, just what we needed
