Making Memories in Westward Ho

Did you know that Westward Living is a popular holiday destination for photography enthusiasts? We are very fortunate that all our luxurious self-catering holiday cottages are located within 60 acres of breath-taking coastal grounds.  Our guests are always guaranteed of leaving us with some great holiday photos.

Westward Living is a popular destination for amateur photographers of all ages and abilities, the landscape varies from wild coastal cliffs, spectacular waterfalls and rocky coves to sand dunes and beaches, wooded combes, and valleys with sheltering villages.  We are spoilt with subject matter and the night-time stars and sunsets are equally as captivating.

All our self-catering holiday cottages have private access on to the Southwest Coastal Footpath, we really are a haven for nature lovers and photographers alike.

This summer we were delighted to welcome Colin Davidson and his family, it was such a joy seeing his holiday photos pop up on social media and we are delighted that he has given us permission to share some of his wonderful photos from summer in Westward Ho! 2021.

We were fascinated with these fab photos and were keen to hear that Colin’s favourite Westward Ho! locations to shoot included the Haunted House at Sunset, Ocean Kave in our grounds and the Kipling Tors lookout tower which backs on to our private grounds.  Colin also told us that he finds the beach interesting as you not only have the golden sand but the rock pools for crabbing as well as the occasional horse.  We love the photo on this blog taken by Colin from the beautiful coastal grounds at Westward Living.

Our top tips for cottages with views are Kala’s Cottage for couples, the views here are magnificent and you get to have front row exclusive seats on your private balcony to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean each night.   For our larger properties it has to be Gallops, Furlong and Farriers as these properties all have fabulous sunset views.

Thank you, Colin, for letting us share your images on our site, Colin’s images can also be viewed on his website which is https://www.facebook.com/Cold-Photography-230784434025539
