Located at the heart of Duckhaven Stud, The Gallops Cottage sits where our champion horses once trained; as such, the décor of the cottage has been carefully selected to reflect the magic of Duckhaven Stud and the surrounding countryside. 

With stunning views across rolling countryside and far across the ocean to Lundy Island, The Gallops provides guests with well-proportioned interior and exterior accommodation, making it great for sociable gatherings of family and friends. 

The super king master bedroom adjoins a twin bedroom via Jack and Jill bathroom, making it perfect for families with younger children. Outside, the hot tub, which is heated via a ground source heat pump, is a wonderful treat, all year round; inside, a wood burning stove provides warm comforts on the most rugged nights. 

Westward Ho! beach and seaside village are a 20-minute walk down the Southwest coast path or a three-minute drive from your cottage and on-site amenities include Zippy’s Barn, which contains plenty of activities to keep children of all ages entertained. 

Every one of our cottages has its own unique character and we do our best to make sure that all of our guests’ needs are catered for. If you have any specific requests, please don’t hesitate to get in touch; we will do our best to help you.

A single storey cottage located on a stud farm in Westward Ho!, with a enclosed outside patio & garden areas. Open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area with 4 x double bedrooms and three en suites.

Pre-Arrival
Cottage is located on a stud farm with a single track leading to front door
Space for unloading and loading is situated close to the front door. Parking of vehicles is adjacent to cottage
Guests are able to preorder shopping prior to arrival 
Information is given to all guests prior to arrival on local suppliers
Cottage is 100 meters from Bideford Bus route no 16 please check here for operating times
Cottage is easily accessible for taxis
Cottage is 12 miles from nearest train station at Barnstaple
